Community
Advisory Group

PoCoG members value the important contribution that our Community Advisory Group (CAG) makes in shaping the direction of our research to ensure the needs and priorities of the wider community are addressed.

Our CAG consists of a panel of community members who bring a diverse range of experiences as both patients and carers.

The group advises PoCoG on ways to improve and champion a patient centred focus to our research activities.

CAG members have the opportunity to contribute in a variety of ways. This includes:

  • Shaping research through joining a project team or steering committee

  • Advocacy and awareness building within the community

  • Engaging in consumer training

  • Reviewing research materials, for example concepts, consent forms and grant applications

  • Contributing to meetings and workshops

If you are a researcher who wants to contact our Community Advisory Group, or if you have lived experience with cancer, as a patient or carer, and are keen to join, please email us.
